Production Assistant

We are looking for a talented and motivated Assistant Editor/Production Assistant to join our team at Recreation. The ideal candidate will have a knack for storytelling, is capable of traveling with filming gear, and wants to learn more about the filmmaking process. The role will involve assisting both on location and in the edit suite - to create documentaries, promotional videos, social media content, and more.

• Assist camera team and producer in pre-production and on location
• Transcribe and proof interviews
• Prepare assets and projects for editing, sound mixing, color grading
• Export, compress, upload, and QA final assets
• Tidy up edit suite and equipment room

• Knowledge of digital cinema cameras and lighting equipment
• Experience as an assistant editor
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere
• Knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects a plus (After Effects)
• Strong storytelling skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel nationally/internationally, sometimes on short notice, with a valid Passport.
